It has been two decades since the September 11 attack that led to the death of approximately 3000 people in the World Trade Centre. The morning of 9/11 still haunts the people of the USA each year. Westminster College and America’s National Churchill Museum have planned a 9/11 ceremony on Saturday in memory of those who lost their lives in the incident. Westminster College and America’s National Churchill Museum Planned 9/11 Ceremony | Details of the Event
Westminster Planned the 9/11 ceremony which will take place at 8:30 am in morning on Saturday. The venue is the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury. Following the event, bells will ring at 8:46, which is exactly the time at which the hijacked Flight 11 of American Airlines crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Centre in New York. Westminster’s President and Chief Transformation Officer, Donald P. Lofe, Jr, who was working in Manhattan on the day of the attack will speak to the audience.

- Trout Director and Chief Curator of America’s National Churchill Museum; Rev.
- Kiva Nice-Webb, Westminster’s Chaplain and Director of the Center for Faith and Service; City of Fulton Fire Chief Kevin Coffelt and the Fulton Fire Department; and members of the College’s ROTC program.
The school will be hosting a panel discussion with the faculty of Westminster with the title, “Understanding 9/11: 20 Years Later.” Moreover, there would also be a display on the Hill, and other stuff honoring those who lost their lives. On September 10, in the evening the college will switch on two beams of light at the Columns on the Hill pointing upwards following the New York’s Tribute in Light. It will take place live on Westminster’s Facebook and live stream pages.
Ohio hosts a Flag Display in Honor of 9/11 Victims
Ohio statehouse also hosted a flag display ceremony to honor the victims of the September eleven attacks. Around 2,977 flags were planted from all over the state on the west lawn. This plantation took place in honor of all the victims. The design portrays the world trade towers from above. It will be opened to the public from 7 till 12 pm on Monday.
Chicago Marks 20th Anniversary of September 11 attacks
To honor the victims of 9/11, people planted 2,977 flags at the Naval Station Great Lakes, Chicago. Healing Field Flag Display is located in the Village of Oak Brook Sports Core soccer field. People can walk through the flags there. The city will be hosting an official ceremony at the Daley Plaza. The timings are 7:30 am, on Saturday.
Satellite Imagery of the September 11 Attack by the Maxar Technologies
As the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attack approaches, Maxar Technologies showed videos from the high-resolution commercial satellite (2001). In the attack, four planes were hijacked. Two of the planes crashed into the World Trade Centre. One of them crashed into Pentagon in the Washington DC. The last one crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania leading to a total loss of 3000 lives.

“Turning point 9/11 and the War on Terror”
Also, there is a series based on the eye-witnesses to 9-11 called “Turning point 9/11 and the war on terror” which was released on 1st September 2021.
