Pakistani Legendary Comedian Umer Sharif has been passed away in Germany on 2nd October 2021. Umer Sharif Death news is confirmed by his sister-in-law.
Dr Muhammad Faisal, later Pakistani Ambassador to Germany, also confirmed the death news of Umer Sharif by tweeting on his tweeter account.
“With deep sorrow, it is announced that Mr Umer Sharif has passed away in Germany”, he tweeted.
“Our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Our CG is present at the hospital to assist the family in every way”.

Pakistan’s Iconic Comedian was admitted to the hospital of Germany. After three days of his stay in Germany, he was expected to resume his travel to the United States for further medical treatment, but he was unable to resume his travel due to critical conditions. Moreover, he was suffered from multiple diseases i.e. coronary conditions.
Umer sharif had boarded an air ambulance for medical treatment in the US on 28th September, but his condidtion worsened and he had to be hospitalized in Germany.
The medical condition of iconic comedian Umer Sharif became a matter of national concern after his video appeal to PM Imran Khan to help him for his medical treatment and a visa should be secured to him to go abroad for treatment. Moreover, the federal government also had assured him that it would help him and the Sindh government also helped him financially by alloting Rs.40 million for his medical treatment.

Pakistani Politicians Senator Faisal Javed, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani expanded condolences for Umer Sharif’s kith & kins.
PPL Leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also expressed his sorrow at Umer Sharif death.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also expressed his grief by tweeting;
“Sadened to learn of Umer Sharif’s passing. I had the good fortune of touring with him to raise funds for SKMT. He was one of our great entertainers and will be missed. My prayers and condolences go to his family.”
German ambassador to Pakistan, Bernhard Schlagheck, considered Sharif’s death “a tragic loss for the entertainment industry”.

After the shocking news of Umer’s death broke, singer and actor Ali Zafar tweeted,
“Complete loss of words on passing away of the legendary Umar Sharif Sahab. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give his family peace. Ameen”.

Who is Umer Sharif?
Umer Sharif was born in Liaqautabad, Karachi on 19th April 1955 in an Urdu speaking family. He took the start of his career as a stage performer using the name Umer Zarif. But later, he renamed that to Umer Sharif. Iconic comedian Umer Sharif achieved National Awards for best director as well as best actor in 1992 for Mr. 420. He also achieved ten Nigar Awards. Also, he is the only actor to achieve four Nigar Awards in a single year. He was awarded with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his contributions as a comedian, actor and producer in the Pakistani entertainment industry. He was one of the biggest Comedians in Asia.
