In season 2, Number Five came back in 2019 from somewhere and he was still a teenager.
On the other hand, all the other superheroes Hargreeves grew up. He came from the future world and tried to know the reason for the Future War. In the whole third season, he tried to know who was behind all the destruction. The family members (superheroes Hargreeves) of Number Five supposed him a teenager and didn’t give any importance to his opinions. And they all went back to the 1960s and tried to halt the catastrophe that would devastate the world.
But when they came back to their present world, they saw their deceased adoptive father Sir Reginald Hargreeves alive there. The Umbrella Academy House was named Sparrow Academy where they saw another group of multi-talented members. Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy ends with the scene of Sparrow Academy, an alternate reality group with its unique talents.
