Bangalore wanted them to fire with the bat to reach a good total but they failed to score big with the bat. Ab de Villers got out on 11 runs while Maxwell managed to score 15 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders Bowling
Kolkata Knight Riders were quite good with the ball. Especially, Sunil Narine did not just bowl the economic spell but he picked the crucial wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villers, and Maxwell. He broke the backbone of Bangalore’s batting. The rest of the bowlers also bowled well. Lockie Ferguson picked two wickets. Shakib and Chakravarthy bowled the economic spells as well.
Kolkata Knights Riders Batting
In the replay, Kolkata’s openers started pretty decent. Shubham Gill and Venkatesh Iyer scored 41 runs before Shubham Gill was dismissed by Harshal Patel. He scored 29 runs on 18 balls with 4 fours. Rahul Tripathi who has performed in the whole season couldn’t able to contribute in this match. He was got out on just 6 runs. He was given LBW on Yuzvendra Chahal bowling.
Venkatesh Iyer scored 26 runs on 30 balls. He was dismissed by Harshal Patel. Nitish Rana also chipped in with the bat. He added 23 runs in 25 balls. Sunil Narine was promoted to the batting order. But he was the lone warrior in the season and his performance was not able to take them to the finals. Their fifth bowling option was the reason they lose. Dan Christian gave too many runs in his 1.4 overs and at the crucial time.
