PM Imran Khan in Uzbekistan, on his two days visit, is accompanied by Federal Ministers, a delegation of businessmen, and the foreign minister. The official visit calls for strengthening bilateral ties between both Pakistan and Uzbekistan. A particular focus on trade and cooperation is the target of this visit.
Imran Khan highlighted the historical relationship of the states calling this visit an initiative of development and prosperity for both the states. Emphasizing cultural ties, PM guaranteed economic ties also.

Uzbekistan’s PM Abdulla Aripov greeted PM Imran Khan at the airport. Upon his arrival, they presented him with a guard of honor. As soon as he arrived, they went to the Independence and Humanism Monument and laid a wreath. Both the countries are expecting bilateral trade that will promote their mutual interests.
Moreover, the Uzbek President invited the PM of Pakistan for an International Conference on Central and South Asia Regional Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities. The high representatives of both the Central and South Asian countries would attend this meeting. Whereas he accepted the invitation. Further, the PM will highlight the regional connectivity in Friday’s meeting.
PM Imran Khan’s retinue
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf, and lastly Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi accompanied PM. Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Minister for Information Technology Atif Khan was also there and FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi joined them after the official Tajikistan visit was summed up.
Imran Khan in Uzbekistan | Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum
Around 130 representatives from the leading business companies of Pakistan attended the Pak-Uzbek business forum. Both the states are immensely concerned about the new trade setup. Further, the forum led to the agreements that were signed worth $453 million. This was indeed a huge success of the two-day visit of PM Imran Khan.
Moreover, Khan said that both countries would work on improving their standard of living. This trade would mutually benefit not only the economy but the ways of living would go up. Furthermore, he mentioned the textile sector had already signed up major contracts a day prior. This shows the immense interest and enthusiasm of the investors.
Fawad Chaudhary also posted a video message stressing the opening of new avenues among the Central Asian states due to PM’s visit. He also explained the two objectives of the trip. Firstly, the ease in facilities of traveling between the two countries. Secondly, he pointed out the peace in Afghanistan.
“We want that any truck or train loaded at Karachi and Gwadar Port reaches Tashkent, which will increase Pakistan’s trade with the Central Asian states manifold,”

Furthermore, Imran Khan in Uzbekistan commented on the situation in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan wants a political settlement and peace in Afghanistan. Moreover, he stressed the establishment of mutual connectivity in both regions.
He also provided an example of the European countries. Khan recalled the time he studied in England. That was the time establishment of the European Union took place He stressed the outcome saying that it totally flipped the “standards of living” of all the states who were a part of it. Hence, their living standards went high up.
