Eoin Morgan returns after spending ten days in self-isolation due to a covid outbreak in the English camp. Not only him, but the whole squad was also in quarantine to prevent further surge. Now, The Returning captain Morgan is looking forward to building more depth in the T20 squad after the ODI series win. Other experienced players returning with him are Jos Butler, Jason Roy, Moeen Ali, and Jonny Bairstow.

In a press conference, Regarding the question about Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan said, “We have given Ben every chance to be fit quickly.” He then goes on to further add that, “Ben Stokes has not been playing cricket much lately. Saqib Mehmood was the Player of the series and as a reward a part of the T20 series. Mehmood took 9 wickets with a 13.3 bowling average. He gave credit to his fearless approach. He said that I had 3 or even 4 slips which show how fearless I was. Furthermore, Gregory has also shown the potential to be a good All-rounder. He scored 40 and 77 in two matches and took 4 wickets. Parkinson also took 5 wickets in the ODI series. So, These players can be a good backup if any injury occurs.
