Pakistan Day Speech in English– Speech #1

Respected Principal, Teachers, and dear fellows Assalamualaikum! Today I’ve to talk about the topic “23rd March Pakistan Day, Pakistan Resolution Day”. Let me start the speech by taking you back to the historical day of the Pakistan Resolution on 23rd March 1940.

On 23rd March 1940, the Lahore Resolution was presented by Molvi A.K Fazlul Haq at the annual session of the Muslim League. The Lahore Resolution was held at Lahore in Minto Park (Iqbal Park). Later, Minar e Pakistan was built in commemoration of the Lahore Resolution. Sir Shah Nawaz Khan was the chief of the reception committee and Mian Bashir Ahmad was appointed as secretary of the 27th annual session of the Muslim League. Chaudhry Khaliquzzaman, Nawab Muhammad Ismail Khan, Nawab Bahadur Yar Jang, A.K. Fazlul Haq, Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, Abdullah Haroon, I.I. Chundrigar, Qazi Muhammad Isa, Sardar Aurangzeb Khan, Khawaja Nazimuddin, Abdul Hashim, and Malik Barkat Ali were the prominent leaders of the Lahore Resolution.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressed the Muslims of the subcontinent gathered at the Pakistan Resolution. It was stated that Muslims of the subcontinent wouldn’t accept any idea or decision until the approval of a separate country. The Lahore Resolution stated that Muslims must be provided a separate state with proper rights. This Resolution was presented on 23rd March 1940 but passed on 24th March. This acceptance of the Lahore Resolution strengthens the Muslim League for further struggle by displaying the idea of the Two Nations Theory.

Quaid-e-Azam addressed the nation during Pakistan Day, he said:

“Hindus and the Muslims belong to two different religious philosophies, social traditions, and literature. They neither inter-marry nor inter-dine jointly, and, indeed, they belong to two different nations that are founded mainly on clashing ideas and beliefs. Their concepts on life and of life are different. It is absolutely clear that Hindus and Muslims develop their enthusiasm from different citations of history. They have different rhymes, different heroes, and different events. Very often the hero of one is an opponent of the other nation and furthermore, their accomplishments and defeats coincide.

To link together two such nations under a single state, one as a numerical minority and the other as a majority must direct to growing discontent and final devastation that may be so built up for the government of such a state. Muslims are a nation according to any description of nationhood. We wish our people to develop an enormous spiritual, cultural, economic, social and political life in a way that we think adequate and in accordance with our standards and according to the ethics of our people”, He added.

The Hindu’s reaction to the Lahore Resolution was bitter, violent, and ridiculous. They called the separate state demand anti-national. Many newspapers of that time made a mockery of the Lahore Resolution. Gandhi announced Pakistan Resolution a sin and immaculately ailment of the Muslim League. But the British reaction to the resolution was impartial. Muslims considered themselves a separate nation having their ethics, social values, and religious beliefs. Therefore, Muslims wanted a separate state where they implement Islamic Laws. As in Hindustan, Muslims were not able to offer their religious devotions, and even they didn’t get moral and social rights.

This Resolution completely rejected the idea of a United nation as set by Hindus. The creation of an independent Muslim state was set at that day which was the ultimate goal of Muslims of the subcontinent. It gave new energy and courage to the Muslims gathered at a single platform of the Muslim League to struggle for a separate country. The great leadership of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the commitment and devotion of the Muslims and other leaders made it possible for them to achieve an independent state after Pakistan Resolution Day 23rd March 1940.

Thank you for providing me with such an amazing opportunity to speak on an adorable topic. Now, it’s our responsibility to strive for the prosperity and development of Pakistan.

On 23rd March 1940, the annual session of the Muslim League was presented that was approved on 24th March. Shere Bangal Abu Al-Qasim Maulvi Fazal Ul Haq presented the ideology of Muslims of the subcontinent. It was stated that Muslims and Hindus are separate nations in each aspect of life. They are separated by culture, community, and religion, so Muslims needed to have a separate country. Other Muslim leaders also demonstrated their unique ideas to gear up the Muslims to struggle for a separate kingdom. They clearly described that the solution of all issues between Muslims and Hindus is the separation of the subcontinent.

Muslim leaders wanted to make a separate state where all the Muslims could live without any scare and according to their Islamic religious law and regulations. Because the Muslims were devalued and executed by Hindus in India before separation. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal were worried about the condition of Muslims there. So, Sir Saeed Ahmad Khan, Maulana Abdul Haleem Shar, Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar, Professor Muhammad Azad, Sir Sultan Muhammad Agha Khan, Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah struggled hard and led the Muslims to get an independent country.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressed the nation at Minto Park Lahore. He said that Pakistan was evolved on the day when the first Hindu accepted Islam in India. There’s no discrimination of race or color in Islam it’s based on Kalma Tayyaba. Muslims lived about 10 centuries in the Indian subcontinent but they didn’t adapt their culture, religion, rules, and social ethics. Muslims were simple, friendly, innocent people but Hindus had been hypocrites for decades. So, it was clear that both nations were opposite and couldn’t live together. This situation urged the Muslim Leaders and nation to stand together for their rights.

The resolution was passed on 24th March 1940 by the British Government. The Hindus’ reaction about the Lahore Resolution passing was so weird. That made mockery of Muslims and their ideology of separation. But with the blessings of Allah Muslims struggled so hard and succeeded to get a separate state named Pakistan. Our ancestors got this country after great struggle and sacrifices of lives, wealth, lands, and employment. But we’re taking this homeland for granted. Now, we must work for the success of our beloved country Pakistan. May Allah save Pakistan from the worst crises, Ameen!
