Shaheen Afridi started the first over. There were 6 flecks from the first 6 balls (first over). Afridi seemed to proceed in the pattern of the India match. NZ was 0/0 after 1 over. Imad Wasim bowled the second over. Mitchell finally got off the streak and it’s a single. NZ 7/0 after 2 overs. Mitchell hit a four on the 5th ball of the 3rd over. New Zealand scored 15/0 after 3 overs. Out! Guptill was gone. New Zealand batters were coming to be relaxed but NZ 36/1 after 5.2 overs.

The 7th over went for just 3 runs. Shadab also did whatever he could to restrain it tight. New Zealand scored 48/1 after 8 overs. And New Zealand lost their second wicket too. Mitchell departed from the ground. He had hit a 6 but was caught by Fakhar Zaman. Afridi got his first wicket. NZ got 54/2 after 8.2 overs. And another out. Fakhar took a tricky catch rolling to his left. Hafeez got the wicket. NZ had 56/3 after 9.2 overs.

Kane Williamson hit a one-handed six. In that over there were just 3 runs from the first 3 balls and 3 fours in the last 3 balls. What a hat-trick of fours by Conway! Williamson was run out and NZ 90/4 after 13.1 overs. Shaheen bowled the 17th over. There was a four in the sixth ball of the over and the score was 116/4 after 17 overs.

And another wicket was down as Babar Azam took a good catch. Rauf made another breakthrough and got 2 wickets in one over. New Zealand scored 116/6 after 17.3 overs. Two more wickets were down. Now for the last over, Rauf bowled. And there was a four at the 5th ball and the player was out in the last ball. Rauf got his 4th wicket. New Zealand finished at 134/8 after 20 overs.

Rizwan and Babar Azam were openers. Babar got a 4. They started their best performance again. Pakistan scored 7/0 after 1 over. New Zealand also bowled well. 4 overs got on and Pakistan was 22/0 after 4 overs. In the 5th over Rizwan made a four to proceed with the score. Southee took a wicket and Babar Azam was out. And PAK 28/1 at 5.1 overs.

In the 7th over there was just one four. The 7th over started with Neesham. This over ended up with just 3 runs and the score was 39/1 after 8 overs. And Zaman made the first 6 of the innings. Ohh, Zaman had gone. New Zealand got the second wicket at 47/2 after 9 overs. Hafeez made a six at his first ball. 11 runs were added in the 10th over and the score was 58/2.

Conway took an incredible catch, and New Zealand was playing properly. PAK scored 63/3 after 11 overs. Wickets kept falling. Rizwan was also out. Sodhi got a valuable wicket and PAK 69/4 after 11.4 overs. PAK scored 75/4 after 13 overs while needing 60 more in 42 balls. Imad Wasim got a four but Boult dismissed Wasim at PAK 87/5 in 14.5 overs.

Asif Ali took a four at his very first ball and the score proceeded to 91 in 15 overs. Pakistan needed 37 runs while 24 balls were left. Asif Ali made a six, Southee delivered that ball. And another six from Asif Ali. Pakistan came back to the game. PAK 111/5 with 3.2 overs remaining. Santner delivered and Shoaib Malik hit a four.

Another six by Shoaib Malik. He turned the game on the way. Asif Ali performed well. Boult pitched it short and the batsman made the most of the pace and another flying six, PAK 133/5. Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets. The match ended with PAK 135/5 after 18.4. Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik played well. Congratulations to Pakistan for the enormous victory.
