Kane Williamson Biography:Kane Stuart Williamson is an international New Zealander cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasionally an off-spin bowler. Williamson Family

Williamson was born in Tauranga, New Zealand, on 8th August 1990. His father Brett had also played under-17 and Club Cricket in New Zealand. His mother, Sandra, had been an emblematic basketball player. Moreover, Williamson has a twin brother Logan and three older sisters, Anna, Kylie, and Sophie. All three sisters were volleyball players, and Sophie and Anna were included in New Zealand age-group teams.

Williamson played senior representative cricket when he was 14 years old, and he played First-Class cricket at 16. Moreover, he attended Tauranga Boy’s College from 2004-2008. Career

Domestic Career | Top-Tier Cricket

Kane Williamson made his top-tier debut for Northern Districts in 2007 when he was just 17. He is still a part of them.

English County Cricket

Gloucestershire signed Kane Williamson during the English County Season 2011. After that, Yorkshire took him in 2013 for half of the season. Due to his fabulous performance in the 2013 season, Kane was signed to come back for the 2014 season. Yorkshire became the winner of the County Championship that year. For 2015, Australia’s Aaron Finch contract was expanded by Yorkshire as a substitute for Kane Williamson. He was afterward signed for the 2016 season.

IPL Career | ODI Career

Williamson made his ODI debut against India on 10 August 2010. He was out on the 9th ball without scoring a single run. It was not the beginning to a career for which Williamson was expecting. He was once again bowled for a duck by Angelo Mathews in his 2nd match.

Williamson made his inaugural century against Team Bangladesh in Dhaka. Moreover, Kane Williamson became the youngest centurion in the history of New Zealand Cricket when he was just 20 years old. Post his execution in the Bangladesh tour where however New Zealand had to face a 4-0 whitewash; Kane was picked out for New Zealand’s squad for the Tour of India.

Kane Williamson made his Test Cricket Debut against India at Ahmadabad on 4 November 2010. In the first innings, he made 131 scores off 299 balls and thus became the 8th New Zealand cricketer to score a century on Test Debut.

In June 2014, Williamson made 161 runs against West Indies and scored his second fabulous test century of the series. Kane performed a vital role in a phenomenal test series victory for New Zealand. In that series, Kane was the dominating run-scorer who made 413 runs, including a declined double century by rain. In April 2014, he was reported for a suspicious bowling action but he was rectified in December 2014.

Back in August 2016, Kane made a century in the open-ended Test Series. And thus he became the 13th batsman to make a century against all nations playing test series. After getting this coup in the fewer innings, Kane Williamson became the youngest cricketer to secure this record.

Moreover, on 23rd March 2018, Williamson became the cricketer with most centuries in the test series. He scored a total of 18 centuries in the test matches for New Zealand. International Career

On 16th October 2011, Kane Williamson played his T20 International debut against Zimbabwe. He captained Team New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2016.

Captaincy

In 2016, after the retirement of Brendon McCullum, Kane Williamson became the captain of Team New Zealand in all formats of cricket. His captaincy was started in the ICC T20 World Cup in India.
