Ayesha Saif Khan and Muhammad Junaid Safdar Nikkah Details:

When Maryam Nawaz broke the news of Junaid Safdar’s marriage on Twitter, everyone started searching for who is Junaid’s wife. Maryam Nawaz shared the invitation card in a tweet which made people wonder who is Ayesha.

Junaid Safdar’s wife Ayesha Saif Khan is the daughter of Former Nab Chairman Saif ur Rehman. Saif ur Rehman is currently living in exile. Nawaz Sharif made Saif ur Rehman chairman of the then Ehtesab Bureau (Now called NAB) during his second term as prime minister in 1997.

Junaid Safdar’s age is 25. He holds a Masters’ in International Relations and also in Global Governance and Ethics. Moreover, he previously had been in the news when he had a quarrel with a PTI activist in the UK.

The wedding ceremony was held in London which was attended by relatives and close friends only. Junaid Safdar’s parents Maryam Nawaz and Muhammad Safdar did not attend the ceremony as they are in Pakistan.

Former Pakistani PM Nawaz Shareef, his sons, and Ishaq Dar were also there.

Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar were on the video call during the Nikkah. They could not travel because their names are in ECL (Exit control list).

Maryam Nawaz tweeted her prayers for the newlywed couple.

Protests Outside the Junaid Safdar Wedding Ceremony:

This wedding also had some disturbances. Some people gathered outside the hotel and protested against the Sharif family.

I am protesting because the Sharif family looted the money. Captain Retired Safdar said he received only 1500 riyal as salary and Maryam Nawaz said she has no property in Pakistan or abroad. Check the level of spending on this wedding.

A Protestor said

He further said that Nawaz Sharif has more than 400 properties in London and he cannot justify even one property. He then went on to criticize PTI that the party staged no protest outside the hall.

Moreover, another man who was protesting said that PMLN men physically assaulted the protestors. Then the police were called to the Nikkah ceremony.

In addition to this, a woman from the PMLN side came out and asked the protesters why they were ruining a family event. She then came face to face with a female protestor and told her to “get lost.”

The Bottom Line- Junaid Safdar wedding ceremony, held on Sunday, made the rounds on the media. Protests also occurred outside the hall. But nothing major hurdle was faced. PMLN workers outnumbered PTI workers and protestors could not do any significant damage. In the end, the Nikkah happened. After the Nikkah, images surfaced on social media. Some people congratulated the couple while some people criticized the lavish spending on the ceremony. But all-inclusive, it was an exquisite function and we congratulate the newlywed couple.
