Petition by Juhi Chawla against 5G
Recently, environmental activist and actress Juhi filed a lawsuit to stop internet advancement. Before 5G is given out to the general public, Bollywood superstar Juhi Chawla says it should be “confirmed safe.” She filed a case in the Delhi High Court against 5G. but the court dismissed it and charged her.
India is ready for the debut of 5G internet. On this, Chawla expressed her reservations about the technology. She argued that 5G radiation can cause harm to humans. As a result, she demanded that the technology be put to the test. In the Delhi High Court, she and two petitioners, Malik and Teena filed a lawsuit. The court refused to accept the plea. Chief Justice believes the action was filed only to gain attention. The court also ordered Chawala and the others petitioners to submit a compliance notice.
According to Law, online legal news sources in India, the court stated, “Plaintiffs exploited the judicial process. They are required to pay Rs20 lakh in costs.” There is no basis for granting leave to file a lawsuit under Section.
