Yesterday, the Pakistani Nation celebrated the 75th Independence Day with national devotion and vehemence. On 14th August 1947, Pakistan appeared on the world map as an Islamic State. The Enthusiasm of the Nation:

Like every year, similarly, on the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the national enthusiasm of the entire nation was admirable. The whole nation rejoiced in the celebration of Independence Day. The children and the elders, the fortune and the un-fortune people, all observed Independence Day in their own way. The current critical conditions in the country and panic of pandemic COVID-19, could not mute a little bit the merriment of Independence Day.

Beginning of Ceremonies of Independence Day:

The Pakistani Nation started the day with skyrocketing slogans, fireworks, the national anthem as well as melodious songs. People offered prayers for the safety of the country and the nation. A heartfelt tribute was offered to the Founder of Pakistan (Quaid-e-Azam) as well as to the thinker of Pakistan Dr Allama Iqbal. Also, Guard-change ceremonies were held at Mazar-e-Quaid, Karachi. And Guard of honour was offered by the Cadets of Pakistan Naval Academy. Similarly, a well-armed contingent of the Pakistan Army took over the same duty at Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore. 21-cannon salute was observed in the Capital City, Islamabad. And 21-cannon salute in all provincial headquarters.

On Independence day people hoisted national flags on their commercial as well as residential buildings. Also, people elevate national flags on their bikes, cycles, vehicles. Children and young boys tattooed the national flags on their faces, arms and hands. People decorated state buildings, shops, plazas and shopping malls with national flags and lights.

Official Flag-Hoisting Ceremony:

An official flag-hoisting ceremony conducted at Aiwan-e-Sadar, in Islamabad. President Dr Arif Alvi headed the ceremony. The President of Pakistan hoisted the national flag. And, he congratulated the nation on the achievement of the 75th year of freedom. While addressing, he asserted that “today we realize the difficulties that were faced in the course of Pakistan’s freedom.” And he also offered praise to the leaders of the freedom movement. Also, he marked honour and respect for the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr Allama Iqbal and Khan of Khans, Nawab Zada Liaquat Ali Khan. He stated, “it is due to their sacrifices that we are here today”.

While unfolding Pakistan’s accomplishments of the previous years, the President stated that when India conducted a nuclear explosion in the year 1974, Pakistan managed to create a nuclear curb within mere seven years.

“Despite the challenge, Pakistan, which was basically an agricultural country, managed to meet its food requirements and now is on the way to becoming an industrial country”.

He further added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Message on Independence Day:

In the sequel of tweets by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has tweeted on Independence Day that “Pakistan today can stand tall among the comity of nations.”

In a further tweet, “Our policies towards reviving the economy, handling the pandemic, and protecting the environment have received universal acclaim.”
