Imran Khan has seemingly blamed Noor Mukaddam for her murder. In the video, he is found saying that Noor called his father only three times in the last six months while she called Zahir Jaffer many times. He further said that it is against Islam to call “Na-Mehram” and have relations with any “Na-mahram”. Also, Islam has warned us about the consequences of such relations.
He said Noor has relations with Zahir Jaffer who was her “Na-Mehram.” The anchor further said that Noor and Zahir’s act is against Islamic teachings and morals. What Noor and Zahir had was without a doubt against Islamic norms.
Many people find these comments shocking and a stain on journalism. People are calling him out on Victim-blaming.

Anchor Imran Riaz Khan clarification regarding video:
Imran Riaz Khan made another video to clarify his stance. He said he was defending our traditions and our strong family system. He said he is neither blaming Noor nor defending Zahir. Anchor Imran Khan even said he wants Public hanging of the accused.
Moreover, he further went on and said that it was propaganda against him and people want to malign him. He said he only wants to talk about the decaying of family cultures and Islamic traditions.
He posted the screenshot of Shireen Mazari’s message and said he would expose the hidden liberals.
Many people came in support of the anchor when he was facing severe backlash.
Journalist Moeed Pirzada also came for the support of his friend. He tweeted that Imran Riaz Khan’s statements are misunderstood. He is only advocating a strong family tradition.
Some people even appreciated him and tweeted to stand with him on this matter.

Update | Recent findings on Noor Mukaddam murder case:
In a recent update, it was found that Noor was tortured and raped before beheading. She was raped first and then shortly killed around 7 pm on 20 July.
Moreover, CCTV footage has cleared that Noor fought hard. She even tried to escape from the balcony. Unfortunately, Zahir caught her. The chowkidar who was seeing everything closed the door. Now, recent findings have told us that Zahir raped Noor before beheading her.
Zahir Jaffer’s parents’ bail was rejected by the court on the grounds that both were involved in this. Both tried their best to hide Noor’s murder. When Zahir was torturing Noor, a neighbor heard her screams. A phone call was then quickly made to the police. When the police arrived, Zahir had already murdered and beheaded Noor.
Zahir then tried to trick the police. An investigating officer said when we arrested Zahr he was in stable condition. When we shifted him to jail, he starts acting as if he were abnormal. Then he tried to pretend that he did not speak English. Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Noor’s parents will get justice.
