The middle-order, which has been the issue for Hyderabad in the first leg, remains in the same situation in the second phase as well. Once again Manish Pandey, their experience player, got the start but did not able to play the long innings that could help the team. He scored seventeen on sixteen deliveries and got caught and bowl off Rabada.

Kedhar Jadhav also did not look comfortable on the crease and got plumb LBW. But he reviews the decision and hawk-eye showed the ball was dead straight. SRH half team got out in thirteen overs with a score of  74. At this stage, it looked like it was difficult for them to score even 125 runs. However, the partnership of Abdul Samad and Rashid Khan helped them to reach 134 runs with nine wickets down. Abdul Samad scored the most runs. Afghan cricketer Rashid khan scored 22 and was the second-highest run-scorer.

Anrich Nortje, who missed the first leg of IPL due to covid-19, made a strong comeback and bowled the most economical spell. He only conceded 12 runs and pick two wickets in four overs. His South African bowling partner Kagiso Rabada picked three wickets. Axar Patel took 2 wickets as well. Then, DC received some bad news as Marcus Stoinis got injured during his bowling and he just bowled 1.1 overs in the match.

In reply, Delhi Capitals chased the target of 135 easily in 17.5 overs with eight wickets in hand. Prithvi Shaw got out early but Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer played responsible innings. Shreyas Iyer has missed the first leg to IPL due to a shoulder injury. He also shone on his return and scored 47 runs on 41 balls with the help of two fours and two huge sixes. Shikar Dhawan scored 42 runs on 37 balls with six fours and a Six. Both the batsmen laid a solid foundation for the run chase which gave us the news, “Delhi Capitals Defeated SRH”.

Shikar Dhawan got out when the score was 72 in 11 overs. The stage was perfectly set for the batsman like Rishab Pant to come and take the game away from the opponents and he did the same. He scored some quick runs in his natural style (that is by hitting boundaries). He scored 35 runs on 21 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes at the strike rate of 166.67. Thus, in the end, Delhi Capitals defeated SRH easily.

The bowling of Hyderabad was below average. Only Rashid Khan bowled the brilliant spell and took the wicket of in form Shikar Dhawan. Khaleel Ahmad also took one wicket.

Delhi Capitals vs SRH was a pure display of Capitals strength. They became the table topper of the Indian premier league with seven wins out of nine games. They are almost confirmed in the top four.
