In reply,Delhi Capitalschased the target of 135 easily in 17.5 overs with eight wickets in hand. Prithvi Shaw got out early but Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer played responsible innings. Shreyas Iyer has missed the first leg to IPL due to a shoulder injury. He also shone on his return and scored 47 runs on 41 balls with the help of two fours and two huge sixes. Shikar Dhawan scored 42 runs on 37 balls with six fours and a Six. Both the batsmen laid a solid foundation for the run chase which gave us the news, “Delhi Capitals Defeated SRH”.
Shikar Dhawan got out when the score was 72 in 11 overs. The stage was perfectly set for the batsman like Rishab Pant to come and take the game away from the opponents and he did the same. He scored some quick runs in his natural style (that is by hitting boundaries). He scored 35 runs on 21 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes at the strike rate of 166.67. Thus, in the end, Delhi Capitals defeated SRH easily.
